About William Reed
I'm an animation artist trained in the traditional hand drawn style of cartooning. I've been in the animation industry since 1966 when I got a job at the Disney Studios and was lucky enough to work on "The Jungle Book" and the first "Winney The Pooh And The Blustery Day". Since then I've worked on hundreds of TV cartoon shows for Hanna-Barbera, Filmation (He-Man, The Archies, Star Trek and others), MGM (Pink Panther), Universal Studios (Earthworm Jim) and The Cartoon Network (Cow And Chicken and I.M.Weasel) and many more.
After working exclusively with a pencil for so long, in 1998 I decided to try my hand at painting, and have been at it ever since. I like to experiment with different styles and media, including watercolor, acrylic and oils. Some of my paintings are cartoons and some are landscapes and urban scenes in the impressionist style. I have been evolving as an artist and enjoy the learning experience of it all.
I am a member of: The Animation Guild, Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Roseville Arts, Placer Arts
